Hello All! My name is Melissa, and I'm a para-educator for a special ed department in a public high school. I'm part way through my master's degree and teaching certificate, and for one of my classes I'm doing some research on what people think about including multimedia and technology in instruction for students with IEPs, FSPs, and 504 plans. I'd really appreciate any and all participation in my project.

If you are the PARENT or GUARDIAN of a child with an IEP, FSP, or 504 plan, please fill out my short, anonymous survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9GMNBFP

If you are a STUDENT or a FORMER STUDENT with an IEP, FSP, or 504 plan, please fill out my short, anonymous survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9BTKGJF

If you are a certificated TEACHER, please fill out my short, anonymous survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/93NBY3D

Thank you so much for all your help!

Hi there!

Does anyone have access to the following articles?

Rose, A. J., & Rudolph, K. D. (2006). A review of sex differences in peer relationship processes: Potential trade-offs for the emotional and behavioral development of girls
and boys. Psychological Bulletin, 132, 98-131. doi:10.1037/0033-2909.132.1.98

Cambron, M. J., Acitelli, L.K., Pettit, J. W. (2009). Explaining gender differences in depression: An interpersonal contingent self-esteem perspective. Sex Roles, 61, 751-761.

Carver, P. R., Yunger, J. L., & Perry, D. G. (2003). Gender identity and adjustment in middle childhood. Sex Roles, 49, 95- 109. doi:10.1023/A:1024423012063

Any help is much appreciated!

Personally, I feel like this description fits me better than clinical depression because a) I've been depressed as long as I can remember, b) CBT does next to nothing for me and c) the only anti-depressant that has not made me worse and actually seems to help is an old tricyclic. However, I'm not sure if this should be added to the DSM because this is the first I've heard of it; therefore, it could be completely bunk. It is an interesting read though.

if anyone has read some articles on tips getting over depression I'd love to read them.
Depression may be related to the brain trying to actively solve problems and think critically.
